Illustrated Map for the Atlanta Botanical Garden Children’s Garden Gouache, Acrylic & Ink on Illustration Board I’ve always been fascinated by maps since I was a little girl. Maps take you places. They connect you with where you want to be, and sometimes places you didn’t even know you wanted to go. When presented with the opportunity to illustrate one of the gardens at the Atlanta Botanical Garden I was ecstatic. The Children’s Garden at the Atlanta Botanical Garden is something to behold. It’s a place for exploration and discovering all the wonders the outdoors, even if its just your backyard, have to offer. I wanted my map to reflect that sense of adventure and discovery.
